Apply the basic strategy when playing blackjack. The house edge can be reduced to a minimum when using the basic strategy. Up to 6 players can play the game and all the players are playing against the dealer. The players must place their bets in the betting area; before the game can start. The dealer will deal two cards to each player including himself. All players will receive their cards face-up.
One card of the dealer will be face-up and the other-card face-down. There are a limited number of hands available against the dealer’s card facing up. They refer to this card ”The Hole Card”. The game can be played with 1 to 8 decks of standard cards. Add the values for cards 2 to 10 to get your hand value. A value of 10 can be allocated to Kings, Jacks and Queens.
The Ace of all four suits will serve as a wild card with values of 1 and 11. A hand combination that contains a face card and an Ace is a “Blackjack Hand”. The blackjack hand is the highest winning hand with a value of 21. Remember one thing, and that is each casino applies a system of rules, applicable to that casino only, but the basics remain the same.
Some casinos may allow you a double down after a split and let you double your bet with the option to receive only one card. You typically play this option only after the first deal. At some casinos, you cannot play this rule. Even for online versions you might use different rules from casino to casino.
